鄧氏宗祠(Tang Ancestral Hall)は屏山(Pin Shan)鄧族(Tan Clan)の中心となる先祖崇拝堂です。
坑頭村(Hang Tau Tsuen)と坑尾村(Hang Mei Tsuen)に挟まれた位置、つまり、三園(Three Wais=Three walled villages)と六村(Six villages)に囲まれた位置にあります。
鄧氏宗祠(Tang Ancestral Hall) is the main ancestral hall of 屏山(Pin Shan) 鄧族(Tan Clan). It is located between 坑頭村(Hang Tau Tsuen) and 坑尾村(Hang Mei Tsuen), that is, it is surrounded by 三園(Three Wais=Three walled villages) and 六村(Six villages).
建立当時から現在も含めて、鄧族(Tan Clan)の定期的な祭事や集会の場として使用されています。
It has been used as the place for 鄧族(Tan Clan) regular gatherings, worshipping and festivities.
中庭に向かうアプローチが赤砂で造られていることから、かつて鄧族(Tan Clan)が中国の中央政府の高官であったことが伺えます。
The red-sandstone-made pathway to the courtyard indicates 鄧族(Tan Clan) once or sometimes used to be at the high-ranking positions in the imperial government. 
・歴史: History
鄧族(Tan Clan)の記録によると、鄧氏宗祠(Tang Ancestral Hall)は、今から約700年前、鄧族(Tan Clan)5代目の鄧馮遜(Tang Fung-shun)により建立されました。
According to 鄧族(Tan Clan) records, 鄧氏宗祠(Tang Ancestral Hall) was constructed about 700 years ago by 鄧馮遜(Tang Fung-shun), the 5th generation of 鄧族(Tan Clan).
1990年〜1991年にかけて、鄧族(Tan Clan)の出資による大規模な保存工事が施されました。
Some major restorations conducted on it from 1990 to 1991.
鄧氏宗祠(Tang Ancestral Hall)は2001年12月に遺跡指定されています。
鄧氏宗祠(Tang Ancestral Hall) was assigned into national heritages in December 2001.
・構造: Structure
壮大な三進兩院式(3つの堂と2つの中庭)の構造で。この種の建造物としては香港では最も洗練されたものの一つです。
Having been magnificently constructed by 三進兩院式(three halls and 2 courtyards) style, 鄧氏宗祠(Tang Ancestral Hall) is one of the finest ancestral halls in Hong Kong.
奥の広間に鄧族(Tan Clan)先祖の位牌が安置されています。
鄧族(Tan Clan) ancestral tablets are placed at rear hall.
二つの柱で結ばれた二つの太鼓台が屋根を支える構造です。柱は室内が花崗岩、外部が赤砂岩でできています。
The roofs of 鄧氏宗祠(Tang Ancestral Hall) are held by 2 large drum platforms which are linked by 2 columns. Its columns inside are made by granite and those outside are by red sandstone.
屋根の頂上部には、陶器製の●魚(Shiwan dragon-fish)と獅子の装飾が施されており、室内では、木製の梁や取付具に中国式の精巧な彫刻が施されています。
There are exquisitely carved ●魚(Shiwan dragon-fish) and lion decorations on the roof ridges. And the wooden beams and brackets inside are quite finely caved with Chinese auspicious designs.

Close: First 3 days of the Chinese New Year
