仁敦岡書室(Yan Tun Kong Study Hall)は坑頭村(Hang Tau Tsuen)にある書室で、燕翼堂(Yin Yik Tong)とも呼ばれます。
仁敦岡書室(Yan Tun Kong Study Hall) is a study hall which is located in 坑頭村(Hang Tau Tsuen). It is also called 燕翼堂(Yin Yik Tong).
教育の場所の他に、先祖を称える場としても使用されてきましたが、現在でも引き続き鄧族(Tan Clan)の集会の場として、また、春や秋の儀式などの祭事の場に利用されています。
Not only as a study hall but also it has been used as the place for ancestor worshipping, and it still serves as a venue for 鄧族(Tan Clan) gathering and a place for 鄧族(Tan Clan) festivities such as Spring and Autumn rites.
・歴史: History
正確な建立時期は不明ですが、屏山(Pin Shan) 鄧族(Tan Clan)によると、14代〜16代の先祖、具体的には、14代鄧懷德(Tang Wai-tak)(=號仁所(Yan-shaw))、15代鄧枝芳(Tang Ji-fong)(=號敦復(Tun-fuk))、16代鄧鳳(Tang Fung)(=號鳴岡(Mong-king))を称えて鄧族(Tan Clan)の子孫によって建てられたと伝えられているそうです。
The exact time when it was constructed is unknown, but according to 屏山(Pin Shan) 鄧族(Tan Clan) legends, it was established by 鄧族(Tan Clan) descendants for the purpose of honoring their 14th-16th ancestors, that is 14th 鄧懷德(Tang Wai-tak)(=號仁所(Yan-shaw)), 15th 鄧枝芳(Tang Ji-fong)(=號敦復(Tun-fuk)) and 16th 鄧鳳(Tang Fung)(=號鳴岡(Mong-king)).
仁敦岡書室(Yan Tun Kong Study Hall)は2009年10月に遺跡指定されています。
仁敦岡書室(Yan Tun Kong Study Hall) was appointed into national heritages in October 2009.
・構造: Structure
建設当時は2つの講堂と1つの中庭の造りで建設したが、1950年代に2階建の別館が後方に増築されました。
It was originally constructed with 2 halls and 1 courtyard. And a 2-storey annex was added on its behind in 1950s.
講堂内部には、彫刻が美しい祭壇がある他、はり上の装飾(camel’s humps)、屋根内側の板(破風板)などにも精巧な建築的特徴が数多く残されています。
Several well-preserved sophisticated architectural aspects can be seen on the inside of the hall, such as elaborate-carved ancestral altar and the decorations on the beams (Camel’s hump) and roof-inside boards (fascia board).
三角屋根の頂上部・両側部にも石膏でできた縁起の良い装飾が施されています。
And on its roof, there also are plaster-molded auspicious decorations on the ridges and both ends (facades).

From 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m./ From 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
休館: 火曜日(香港祝日を除く)
Close: Tuesday (Except Hong Kong Holiday)

It must be quite sorry that l visited when 仁敦岡書室(Yan Tun Kong Study Hall) was closed. (｡•́︿•̀｡)
