楊侯古廟(Yeung Hau Temple)は坑頭村(Hang Tau Tsuen)にあるお寺で、元朗(Yuen Long)にある候王(Hau Wong)を祀る6つのお寺の一つです。
楊侯古廟(Yeung Hau Temple) is located in 坑頭村(Hang Tau Tsuen) and is one of 6 元朗(Yuen Long) temples which dedicate 候王(Hau Wong).
・歴史: History
正確な建立時期は不明ですが、数百年前までは歴史が遡れると信じられています。
The exact time when it was constructed is unknown, but its history is believed to be traced back to several hundred years ago.
1963年と1991年に大規模な改修があったことを示す碑文が室内にある他、2002年にも保存工事が施されています。
The inscriptions placed inside indicate there had been large renovations in 1963 and 1991. In addition to these renovations, some restoration works were conducted in 2002.
・候王(Hau Wong/Hau Wang)
候王(Hau Wong/Hau Wang)は将軍や大将を指す言葉で、特定の人物を指す言葉ではありません。英語では“Prince Marquis” “Holy Marquis”と呼ばれます。
The word 候王(Hau Wong/Hau Wang) indicates not a particular person but generals (class). 候王(Hau Wong/Hau Wang) is expressed as “Prince Marquis” or “Holy Marquis” in English.
候王(Hau Wong/Hau Wang)が誰を指すのかは諸説ありますが、屏山(Pin Shan)の村民たちは 楊亮節(Marquis Yang Kiangjie)を指すと考えていました。宗朝の最後の2皇帝の守るために人生を捧げたとされており、その忠誠心と勇敢さが、村人からの崇拝を集めています。
There are some stories who 候王(Hau Wong/Hau Wang) should be, villagers in 屏山(Pin Shan) believed he should be 楊亮節(Marquis Yang Kiangjie). As he having devoted his life to protect last 2 宗(Song) dynasty emperors, his such loyal and brave life attracts villager’s worshipping.
毎年旧正月から6ヶ月目の16日目に候王(Hau Wong/Hau Wang)祭りが開催されています。
候王(Hau Wong/Hau Wang) Festival is held annually on 16th day on lunner 6th month.
・構造: Structure
楊侯古廟(Yeung Hau Temple)は3つの部屋に分かれており、それぞれ 候王(Hau Wong)、土地和/公(To Tei)(土地の神=the Earth God)、※金花(Kam Fa)※娘娘(=)の像が祀られています。
楊侯古廟(Yeung Hau Temple) is composed by 3 rooms. Each room dedicates respective statues of deities, 候王(Hau Wong), 土地和/公(To Tei)(=the Earth God) and ※金花(Kam Fa)※娘娘(=Goddess Golden Flower (金花聖母)).
※金花(Kam Fa)娘娘(Neung Neung)=Goddess Golden Flower:
中国南部の民族間で、出産と幼い子供たちを守る神として崇拝されている民族神で、主に広東語圏内での信仰が強いです。
金花(Kam Fa)娘娘(Neung Neung) is honored as a folk deity protecting fertility and young children in South China, especially Cantonese spoken areas.
※娘娘(Neung Neung):
天后(Tin Hau)など、女性の神様を指す敬称です。
One of honorific titles for female Gods, such as 天后(Tin Hau)
