上璋圍(Sheung Cheung Wai)は坑頭村(Hang Tau Tsuen)の西側に位置する囲村、つまり城壁で囲まれた村です。屏山文物徑(Pin Shan Heritage Trail)では唯一の囲村になります。
上璋圍(Sheung Cheung Wai) is a walled village, that is to say, the village which is surrounded by castle wall, located near west of 坑頭村(Hang Tau Tsuen). It is only walled village along 屏山文物徑(Pin Shan Heritage Trail).
外部の堀が埋めらている他、城門や寺院も一度建て直されていますが、内部や外壁には建設当時の面影が残っており、伝統的な中国の城壁村の雰囲気を感じることができます。
Its outside moat having been filled in and its gatehouse and shrine been re-constructed, but some original parts can be seen on its inside and outside wall, we can enjoy the atmosphere on traditional Chinese walled villages.
・歴史: History
上璋圍(Sheung Cheung Wai)は今から約200年前に坑頭村(Hang Tau Tsuen)の鄧族(Tan Clan)の一部が分家した際に造られました。
上璋圍(Sheung Cheung Wai) was constructed about 200 years ago when some 鄧族(Tan Clan) moved out from 坑頭村(Hang Tau Tsuen).
・構造: Structure
灰色のレンガで造られた城壁は、南側中央の城門からのみ外に開放されており、内部は城門から奥の寺院まで一直線に伸びる通りを軸に左右対称の家々が直線に配されている、典型的な地方の城壁村の構造をしています。
Its structure is typical walled village, gray bricks wall only opens at south center gatehouse, the houses inside stand in row symmetrically on both sides along with the canter straight aisle from gatehouse to the shrine.
当初は城壁の周りを堀が囲っていましたが、後に埋められました。
Originally it was surrounded by moats, but they were filled in afterwards.

Being a private area, not opened to public (Only can be seen from outside)
