聚星樓(Tsui Sing Lau Pagoda=星を集める塔=Pagoda of Gathering Stars)は現存する香港唯一の古代の塔です。鄧族の記録によると、今から600年以上昔、鄧族7代目の鄧彥通(Tang Yin-tung)の時代に建てられました。
聚星樓(Tsui Sing Lau Pagoda=Pagoda of Gathering Stars) is the only ancient pagoda in Hong Kong. According to the Tang clan records, it was constructed over 600 years ago by 鄧彥通(Tang Yin-tung), the 7th generation of 鄧族(Tang clan).
后海灣(Deep Bay)に注ぐ川の入口付近、三圍(Three Wais) の3つの村の一つ上璋圍(Sheung Cheung Wai)の北側に建てられ、北から降りてくる悪霊や、川の洪水から村を守るために風水の思想を取り入れた構造になっています。
It used to be located near the mouth of the river which runs into 后海灣(Deep Bay), at the north side of 上璋圍(Sheung Cheung Wai), which is one of 三圍(Three Wais). Feng sui structure is adopted for defending against evil spirits from north and against floods.
香港三大尖山の青山(Castle Peak)に対して縁起のよい位置にあることから、鄧族の中国科舉の登用試験によい結果をもたらしてくれると信じられていました。
As it also being located at auspicious place to 青山(Castle Peak), which is one of Hong Kong 3 major sharp mountains, 聚星樓(Tsui Sing Lau Pagoda) is believed to lead Tan clan members to success on the 中国科舉(imperial civil service examinations).
聚星樓(Tsui Sing Lau Pagoda)は2001年12月に遺跡指定を受けています。
聚星樓(Tsui Sing Lau Pagoda) was appointed as a monument in December 2001.
・構造: Structure
聚星樓(Tsui Sing Lau Pagoda)は灰色のレンガ造りで、六角形の形をしており、高さ13メートルの3階建てで、各階層にはつづら折り形のひさしがついてるのが特徴です。
聚星樓(Tsui Sing Lau Pagoda) was constructed on hexagon-shaped with gray bricks, it is 13m high and 3 stories. Each story has zigzag shaped eaves.
上層階には、試験の成功を操ると信じられている神、著魁星(Fui Shing=Champion Star)の像が祀られています。各階には意味があり、1階が『光射※斗垣=北の星座(そら)に射す一筋の光(Light Shines Straight Onto the Dippers and Enclosures)』、2階が『聚星樓=星を集める塔(Pagoda of Gathering Stars)』、3階が『凌漢=天の河の彼方に(Over the Milky Way)』の意味があります。
※斗(Dippers)は北斗七星、垣(Enclosures)は星空の領域を意味します。
A statue of 著魁星(Fui Shing=Champion Star) is placed at upper floor. Each story has respective name inscribed on the facades, the name of the ground floor is 『光射※斗垣(Light Shines Straight Onto the Dippers and Enclosures)』, second floor is 『聚星樓(Pagoda of Gathering Stars)』, the top floor is『凌漢(Over the Milky Way)』.
※The Chinese word 斗 means Big Dipper, 垣 means enclosure, a wide part of night sky.

午前9時～午後1時/午後2時～午後5時
From 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m./ From 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
休館: 火曜日(香港祝日を除く)
Close: Tuesday (Except Hong Kong Holiday)

聚星樓(Tsui Sing Lau Pagoda) は3階建てですが、入れるのは1階だけです。
(現地で職員さんから直接確認済み)
聚星樓(Tsui Sing Lau Pagoda) has 3 floors but we can enter only into the ground floor.
(I confirmed with the staff there.)
