大きなネオンで北角のシンボルになっていた新光戯院(Sunbeam Theatre)が3月3日に閉館したそうです。(｡ﾉω＼｡)
It was reported that 新光戯院(Sunbeam Theatre), which was the symbol of 北角(North Point) with its large neon ended its business on 3rd Match. (｡ﾉω＼｡)
新光戯院(Sunbeam Theatre)は1972年に開館した香港オペラ(粤劇)の老舗劇場です。
実に、52年の間人々に愛されてきましたが、特に大きな『新光戯院』のネオンは北角のシンボルとなっていました。
新光戯院(Sunbeam Theatre) is an long-established theater which focuses Hong Kong opera (粤劇).
It have been loved by Hong Kong people for 52 years and, especially, its large neon, 『新光戯院』 was the symbol of 北角(North Point).
閉館の理由はキリスト教系の新オーナーになったことで、宗教的理由で粤劇を演じることができなくなったからだそうです。(｡•́︿•̀｡)
The reason of its business closure was religion reason related to the owner change. The new owner belongs to Hong Kong Christian church, this does not allow the theater to continue serving Hong Kong opera (粤劇).(｡•́︿•̀｡)
3月3日の最終公演は中国の最高指導者の鄧小平の人生の劇だったそうです。
The last performance was the story of the life of 鄧小平(Deng Xiaoping) President of the People’s Republic of China.
なお、『新光戯院』のネオンですが、現在残すかどうか検討中だそうです(人 •͈ᴗ•͈)
As of the 『新光戯院』neon, it is now under consideration for being remained.(人 •͈ᴗ•͈)
